Wedding

A desired available date of the Wedding cannot be reserved until the couple meets with Fr. Javier

Requirements:

  • Baptismal Certificate of groom and bride. These certificates must be issued within six (6) months by the time of the first interview. If one or both have received the Sacrament of Confirmation, a Certificate is needed. Once the couple has the Confirmation and the Baptismal Certificates, then the couple should make an appointment with Fr.     PLEASE, BE AWARE THAT THIS FIRST INTERVIEW SHOULD BE AT LEAST 6 MONTHS BEFORE THE INTENDED WEDDING DATE. 

  • Complete the Pre-Nuptial Questionnaire with Fr. Javier.

  • One or two adult witnesses for the groom and one or two adult witnesses for the bride. Fr. Javier will determine the number of witnesses during the first interview. 

  • Depending on the particular case of the couple, other forms may be needed. Fr. Javier will determine which other documents and forms are needed during the first interview. 

  • Marriage License. The marriage license application must be completed at least seven (7) days but not more than thirty (30) days before the wedding date. The license is valid for 30 days upon the issuance date. For more information about Marriage License in Milwaukee County, Click Here.

  • You should bring your Marriage License the day of the rehearsal. 

  • If the couple is already married civilly, a Marriage Certificate is required. Please, bring this certificate for your first interview. 

  • Fee: $225.00. (This does not include the music during Mass or service)

  • Participation in the Marriage Preparation Program of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.  

  • Weddings are normally celebrated on Saturdays at 12:00 PM. 

  • A rehearsal of the wedding is normally scheduled the evening before the wedding date. The wedding couple, the wedding party, the readers, and those entering the procession should be present. The wedding couple has the opportunity to go to confession after the rehearsal. 

  • Please, arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony.
